The Department of Mathematics at the Ohio State University invites undergraduate students, primarily from traditionally underrepresented groups, to pursue research under the tutelage of experienced faculty members. Students work with a faculty member on a project of mutual interest for 8-10 weeks during the summer. In addition to the research projects, all accepted students will participate in various cohort activities. We hope to support travel, housing accommodations, and a stipend for all participating students.

The projects will be in the areas of analysis of PDEs or mathematical finance, ergodic theory and dynamical systems, computational mathematics, algebra and logic, quantum algebra, operator algebras, category theory, and topologically ordered phases of matter.

To apply, please submit a transcript, a CV/resume, a personal statement, and a letter of recommendation through this website.
