We invite applications for an REU program in the Division of Applied Mathematics at Brown University in summer 2014. The REU is part of an NSF-sponsored Research Training Group (RTG) on "Integrating Dynamics and Stochastics (IDYaS)". Participants in the REU program will work on group projects that involve applications, dynamical systems, and probability theory. The duration of the program is 2 June - 25 July 2014. Participants will be paid a stipend of $3,000 and will be reimbursed for accommodation and allowable living expense up to a limit of $3,000.

Applicants should upload a current transcript and a one-page statement describing their interest and suitability for the program at mathprograms.org. They should also arrange to have a letter of reference uploaded. The program is restricted to US citizens or permanent residents. All application materials must be received by 21 February 2014.
