The AMS, with funding from a private gift, will be accepting applications for partial travel support for doctoral students at U.S. institutions who plan to attend one of the Fall 2026 AMS Sectional Meetings.Each grant, if awarded, will provide $400 in partial support of attendance at one of the following fall 2026 Sectional Meetings:
October 3-4, 2026, George Washington University, Washington, DC
October 10-11, 2026, Kennesaw State University, Kennesaw, GA
October 24-25, 2026, University of Minnesota, Duluth, MN
November 7-8, 2026, Arizona State University, Tempe, AZ
It is the intention of the AMS to encourage each student's home institution to match the funds provided in support of the travel. Applications will be accepted only from doctoral students in mathematics, and those who graduated with their PhD between January 1, 2026 and August 31, 2026. No person may receive a sectional meeting travel grant more than once.
