The Department of Mathematics at the Ohio State University invites undergraduate students to pursue research under the tutelage of experienced faculty members. Students work with a faculty member on a project of mutual interest for 8-10 weeks during the summer. In addition to the research projects, all accepted students will participate in various cohort activities. We will support travel, housing accommodations, and a stipend of $5000 for all participating students. Possible projects will be in areas of mathematics including Actuarial and Financial Mathematics, Algebra, Analysis, Combinatorics, Probability, Differential Geometry, Ergodic Theory and Dynamical Systems, Mathematical Biology, Scientific Computing, Data Science, Number Theory, PDEs, and Category Theory, Operator Algebras, and Quantum Algebra.
