The AMS will provide 50 reimbursement grants of US$200, one per family, to help with the cost of child care and free parents to participate more fully in the 2022 Joint Mathematics Meetings, Seattle, WA, January 5-8, 2022. Registration for JMM 2022 and membership in the AMS is required to apply for this program.

Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until October 22, 2021. This deadline has been extended to October 29. Final decisions on recipients will be made on or before November 12, 2021. Details on the distribution of grant funds will be sent to all recipients before the meeting, but please note that each recipient will be required to submit a completed W-9 form prior to the meetings to receive these funds.

All parents are solely responsible for arranging their child care. These grants may be used in any way that helps them most with child care during the meeting. The AMS will not make any recommendations for child care providers.

In the cover sheet and application, please ignore any instructions regarding letters of reference, since none are required for this program.

Applicants will be notified of acceptance on or before November 12, 2021.
