Program Description:

In this program, undergraduates spend 8 weeks doing research work in discrete math. We focus on combinatorics, discrete probability, and theoretical computer science. Each participant is closely mentored by an active researchers. We are based in the Math department of CUNY's Baruch College, located at the heart of Manhattan.

We are looking for ambitious undergraduates who are strongly motivated to produce a research paper. That is, students who are willing to work hard for a period of time to achieve this goal. The participants will also receive training in topics such as giving talks, writing proofs, and applying to grad school. We keep supporting the participants as they continue with their studies and careers.

Women and students from underrepresented minorities are encouraged to apply.

See our webpage for details such as stipends, dates, research topics, who is eligible to apply, and the papers produced in previous years. We very much hope to run the program physically in NYC. If this is not possible, the program would run remotely. Either way, the program will involve many group activities.

The application deadline will be in mid-February. An exact date will be announced later on.
