2026 Yau Mathcamp (Mathcamp) is recruiting Teaching Assistants (TAs) to join our instructional team in Shanghai, China. TAs are an essential part of the program, supporting an intensive summer curriculum for highly motivated high-school students with strong mathematical backgrounds.

Program details 
  • Dates: July 4 – August 1, 2026
  • Location:  Shanghai Institute for Mathematics and Interdisciplinary Sciences (SIMIS), Shanghai, China
Duties
  • Supporting tutorial sessions and student discussions
  • Answering student questions and providing academic mentoring
  • Grading homework and exams and helping instructors track student progress
  • Mentoring final projects and supporting final project presentations
  • Attending regular staff meetings as needed during the program 
Requirements
  • PhD students or Postdocs in Mathematics or Theoretical Physics, with strong background and teaching/tutoring experience
  • Fluent in English (speaking Chinese is preferred)
  • Responsible, reliable, and collaborative
  • Able to be in Shanghai for the full program
