In this program, undergraduates spend 8 weeks doing research work in discrete math. We focus on combinatorics, discrete probability, and theoretical computer science. Each participant is closely mentored by an active researchers. We are based in the Math department of CUNY's Baruch College, located at the heart of Manhattan. We are looking for ambitious undergraduates who are strongly motivated to produce a research paper. That is, students who wish to work hard during the summer to achieve this goal. The participants will also receive training in topics such as giving talks, writing proofs, and applying to grad school. We keep supporting the participants as they continue with their studies and careers. Women and students from underrepresented minorities are encouraged to apply. See our webpage for details such as stipends, dates, research topics, who is eligible to apply, and the papers produced in previous years. Due to the pandemic, the program will run remotely. If the situation allows for that, then we will support individual participants who wish to be here in person. |
