The 2022 EDGE Summer Program will be held July 10 – August 6, 2022 at the University of Oxford's Mathematical Institute and St John's College, Oxford, UK (pending funding and COVID developments). The programme will cover all travel, room, and board expenses, and participants will receive a stipend.

The EDGE Summer Program is a four-week, residential session that takes place at a different university each year. Programme participants attend daily lectures in subjects such as Algebra, Measure Theory, Numerical Linear Algebra, and Real Analysis, as well as interact with research mathematics. EDGE coursework is designed to prepare participants for postgraduate research and qualification exams, while also providing practical experience in a rigorous academic setting. Participants delve deeper into these subjects through collaborative daily problem sessions, with guidance from EDGE mentors, who are current postgraduate students and often EDGE alumnae. Participants attend research talks by female mathematicians and have opportunities to interact with them.

The EDGE Summer Program will require all participants to be fully vaccinated by the time of acceptance.

Eligibility Applicants to the programme should be women who: 1) are applying for postgraduate study in the mathematical sciences or 2) just completed their first year in a postgraduate programme in the mathematical sciences. Women from underrepresented minority groups are especially encouraged to apply. Final acceptance to the programme is contingent upon enrollment in postgraduate in the UK in Autumn 2022.
