AMS Undergraduate JMM GrantsFor Research Presentations Virtual Joint Mathematics Meetings, January 6 - 9, 2021
The AMS, with support from the National Science Foundation (NSF), is offering Undergraduate Student support to participate in specific poster and speaking sessions at JMM 2021, January 6 - 9, 2021. These grants are open only to full time undergraduate students in all areas of the mathematical sciences who are currently enrolled at a U.S. institution and who have been accepted to present or speak at one of the following sessions at JMM 2021: - MAA Undergraduate Student Poster Session
- AMS-MAA-SIAM Special Session on Research in Mathematics by Undergraduates
and Students in Post-Baccalaureate Program
- Selected AMS Special Sessions that focus on Mathematical Research
Where to apply Applications are only accepted online here through MathPrograms.org. An account (free for applicants) must be created in order to apply. One application should be made by each individual who is requesting support, whether they are in a group project or a one-person project.
Who is eligible for funding?- Applicants must be currently enrolled as a full time undergraduate student at a U.S. institution at the time of application. Both citizens and non-citizens of the U.S. are eligible to apply.
- Applicants will name an advisor or administrator at their institution who must verify that they meet the qualifications for this funding.
Please note: At the time of application, acceptance into the poster or speaking sessions may not yet be known. Applications can be submitted before the outcome of the acceptance of the poster or speaking session is known. However, funding will not be offered until documentation of acceptance to present or speak is submitted and verified. Applicants should upload their acceptance document into their application as soon as it is received.Details of support- The grant will cover the JMM 2021 virtual registration fee at the Undergraduate Student rate.
- Please note that applying for this travel support does not enroll you into any presentation sessions (they have their own applications) and it does not register you for the JMM meeting.

Note: The AMS Meetings Department will contact awardees with the details about how to register for JMM. You should NOT register for JMM until you hear from the Meetings Department.
