The University of Michigan-Dearborn REU Site in Mathematical Analysis and Applications is an eight-week program that will run from 05/26/2020 to 07/17/2020. The research projects will be related to Fourier analysis, complex analysis, differential geometry, spectral theory, probability, numerical analysis, algebraic coding theory, phaseless imaging, and stochastic differential equations. The specific project descriptions can be seen on the program website. Please indicate which project(s) you are interested in your personal statement.

Students will have a unique interaction with experienced faculty mentors in a productive intellectual environment, where they will learn how to use mathematical ideas to solve real-life problems. The program organizers will help students to find appropriate venues to present and publish their results. Additionally, students will learn more about the graduate school application process and career opportunities in academia and industry. Students from underrepresented groups in mathematics, women, first-year college students, and students from two-year college programs are especially encouraged to apply.

Please visit the program website for outcomes from previous years.
