The Baruch Combinatorics REU is a program for undergraduates, focused on doing combinatorial research with the goal of publishing a research paper. (Until recently, the program was called the CUNY Combinatorics REU.) The program runs for 7-8 weeks during the summer in New York City. During this period each participant is mentored by active researchers. We are based in the Math department of CUNY's Baruch College, located at the heart of Manhattan.

We are looking for ambitious undergraduates who are strongly motivated to produce a research paper. That is, students who are willing to work hard for a period of time to achieve this goal. The participants will also receive training in topics such a giving talks and rigorously writing proofs. We keep supporting the participants as they continue with future mathematical studies and careers.

This year the mentors will be Adam Sheffer and Pablo Soberon (additional mentors may be added, depending on the number of applicants we accept). See our webpage for details such as stipends, dates, research topics, who is eligible to apply, and the papers produced in previous years.
