When: The AWM workshop, poster session, and informational minisymposium will take place at the 2027 SIAM Conference on Computational Science and Engineering in Pittsburgh, PA, February 22-26, 2027.

What: The workshop will consist of two minisymposia focused on Mathematical Biology organized by Arnaja Mitra and Genevieve Stein O’Brien, a poster session, a panel and a mentoring luncheon. The research minisymposia will feature selected junior and senior mathematicians from the Research Network Women in Math Biology (WIMB). This workshop follows the RCCW that took place in 2025 at ICERM.

Eligibility: The Poster Session is open to all areas of research; graduate students working in areas related to data science are especially encouraged to apply. To be eligible for selection and funding, a graduate student must have made substantial progress towards their thesis. AWM will offer partial support for travel and hotel accommodations for the selected graduate students.

A brief letter of recommendation from a faculty member or research mathematician who knows your research is required. If you are a student, this should be from your thesis advisor or one of your mathematics professors. The purpose of this letter is to confirm that there is work on the proposed project.  It should include the following information
