Undergraduate Travel GrantsJoint Mathematics Meetings, January 3-6, 2024The American Mathematical Society (AMS) and Pi Mu Epsilon (PME) are offering Undergraduate Student Travel Grants to JMM 2024 for a limited number of students who are presenting in the following JMM sessions.
Applicants to both programs must apply via this online application. Applications from PME members will be forwarded to PME for funding consideration. AMS grants are funded in part by the National Science Foundation (NSF); PME grants are funded in part by the National Security Agency (NSA). The award amounts are anticipated to be up to $1,200 to defray travel, housing, and subsistence expenses. Applications are especially encouraged from students from groups that have been underrepresented in the mathematical sciences and from those with need for travel support. Where to apply Applications are only accepted online through MathPrograms.org. An account (free for applicants) must be created in order to apply. One application should be made by each individual who is requesting support, whether they are in a group project or a one-person project. Every co-presenter must submit their own travel grant application. Please note: Travel grant applicants must submit their abstract and obtain an abstract number prior to applying for a travel grant.
