| The AMS will provide a limited number of grants of US$125 per family to help with the cost of child care for registered participants at the AMS Fall Central Sectional Meeting, which was to be held at Creighton University, Omaha, Nebraska, and is now being held virtually. This meeting will take place on October 9-10, 2021. The funds may be used for any form of child care that frees a parent to participate more fully in the meeting. Grants will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, one per family, and one per season (i.e. Spring or Fall), the latter depending on the amount of grants available. You must be registered for the meeting as well as be an AMS member in order to apply for this program.
Please note that you are solely responsible for arranging child care. You may use this grant for any sort of child care, which gives you the freedom to use these funds in a way that is most useful to your family. AMS will not make any recommendations for child care providers.
Applications will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis until August 10, 2021. Final decisions on recipients will be made on or before August 31, 2021.
Details on the distribution of grant funds will be sent to all recipients before the meeting, but please note that each recipient will be required to submit a completed W-9 form prior to the meetings to receive these funds. |
