The Brin Mathematics Research Center (brinmrc.umd.edu) is a research center that sponsors activity in all areas of pure and applied mathematics and statistics. The Brin MRC is part of the Department of Mathematics at the University of Maryland, College Park.
Activities sponsored by the Brin MRC include long programs, conferences & workshops, special lecture series, and summer schools. The Brin MRC provides ample opportunities for short-term and long-term visitors that are interested in interacting with the faculty at the University of Maryland and in experiencing the metropolitan Washington DC area. We would like to solicit applications for short-term and long-term visits at the Brin MRC for the academic year 2023-2024. Short-term visits are for a duration of one week to one month. Long-term visits are typically several months long.
Visitors to the Brin MRC will receive funds to assist with their travel and local expenses. The Brin MRC does not reimburse visa fees. Application materials: Current CV and a short statement about how the visit will benefit your research. The statement should include a name of a contact person at Maryland, the proposed period for visit, and its duration.
For best consideration for Fall 2023 visits, please apply by March 1, 2023. For best consideration for Spring 2024 visits, please apply by August 1, 2023. We encourage mathematicians in all areas of pure and applied mathematics and statistics to apply. Mathematicians in all stages of their career are welcomed to apply. |
